Education
Part of the mandate of the Canadian Jewellers Association is to foster a healthy and growing support network for the industry. In part, this means ensuring the availability of qualified personnel. To further that goal, several educational programs have been created.
In particular, the CJA is very proud of the Jewellery Education Training System (JETS), and the Accredited Appraiser Program. Both are comprehensive and methodical approaches to providing complete understanding of these complex aspects of the jewellery industry.
In the future, the CJA hopes to work closely with community colleges to create an apprentice program for artisans, jewellery and watch manufacturers, and possibly even a retail/business management program.

We encourage you to click on the highlighted Accredited Appraiser Program (AAP) heading up above, and explore the many components of this very important program.
